Activity Overview
Students will be sent ordered pairs through lists using the TI-Navigator™. These pairs will then be graphed as a line graph and students will classify the shape of the quadrilateral and justify their choice.
Before the Activity
Read Classifying Quadrilaterals Teacher Notes.doc for directions. Using the TI-Navigator send lists Quad 1 and Quad 2 to the class. Hand students a copy of Classifying Quadrilaterals.doc.
During the Activity
After students receive the lists and worksheet, have them use plots to plot the points as connected ordered pairs. Send the students Quad Class.edc to work through the classisfication process and send the correct classification. Collect and grade using the Class Analysis Feature.
After the Activity
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
