Activity Overview
This activity is designed as an intoduction to using the Carbr Jr. application on the TI-83+/84+ calculators. Students are guided through the menu system and are shown how to draw triangles, quadrilaterals and and a pentagon. Perimeter and angle measurements are also explained. The activity leads the students to an introduction of the interior angle sum theorom.
Before the Activity
Print out and copy the word worksheet. The worksheet is fairly self explanitory.
During the Activity
For most students this will be the first time they have used a graphing calculator to do anything other than play games. Some calculator basic instruction may be need to get the students started.
