Activity Overview
Students learn the conversion relationship between inches and centimeters through data collection. The data collected results from measuring items using inches and centimeters as the units.
They use a TI-73 to input the data into lists and analyze the data. A discussion of accuracy and precision easily follows after determining the equation of the relationship between the two units.
Before the Activity
Students should have access to the TI-73 Explorer.
During the Activity
