Activity Overview
Students review the basic steps of solving differential equations, and illustrate these steps with an example. An example of an application of differential
equations is also given. The students are then challenged to solve a few differential equations and applications of differential equations.
This activity is best used just after the student has been introduced to the concept of
an integral.
Before the Activity
The students are then challenged to solve a few differential equations and applications of differential equations.
See the attached Activity PDF file(s) for detailed instructions for this activity.
During the Activity
Follow the procedures outlined in the activity
Circulate the room to answer questions and help students perform the instructions.
After the Activity
Review student results
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
