In this activity, students' will use a motion detector to observe the effect of speeding up, slowing down, and moving at a constant rate on a Distance versus Time plot.
In this activity, students are given a distance-time graph that involves either speeding up or slowing down.
By moving from close to far away, students have to speed up to make a graph that curves upward.
Students also will change the direction of their walk and make a descending graph that either increases or decreases their speed.
