Activity Overview
In this activity, students use the Derive™ software to compute binomial, hypergeometric, standard normal and normal probabilities, and explore inverse normal computations.
Before the Activity

During the Activity
Distribute the pages to the class.
Follow the Activity procedures:
For binomial distribution calculate the probability of certain number of successes
Find the probability of x defectives in a sample of size n for a hypergeometrical distribution
Find the probability for a randomly distributed normal variable
Study normal distribution with mean and standard deviation and perform Inverse Normal calculations

As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
