Slope/Triangle Area Exploration

Activity Overview

Using multiple representations, students will explore how the area of a triangle formed by the x-y axes and a line through a point is related to the slope of the line.

Before the Activity

If you are planning on having your students investigate this activity individually or in pairs, you will need to download the .tns files to the student handhelds either before hand or at the start of class using Connect-to-Class.
