Activity Overview
The main purpose for this activity is to explore triangles with pairs of corresponding congruent sides and a congruent nonincluded angle.
Before the Activity
Students should have an understanding of Angle-Side-Angle (ASA) Congruence Postulate and the Angle-Angle-Side (AAS) Congruence Theorem.
During the Activity
See attachments.
After the Activity
At the end of this activity, students should be able to see why SSA can NOT be used to prove two triangles are congruent.
