Activity Overview
In this activity, get instructions on how to perform transformations using the Cabri Jr. Application on the TI-84 Plus.
Before the Activity
Students may have previously experienced these transformations in your classroom using pencil and paper techniques. If so, use this activity as an enhancement tool. If transformations were not previously discussed, this activity can be used as a discovery activity.
During the Activity
Use this handout to demonstrate transformations in your geometry classroom. Guide students or allow them to follow the handout independently. Also, add coordinates to use this in your Algebra classroom.
After the Activity
Use TI-Navigator to do the more challenging activities together as a class. In the Activity Center, allow students to submit the coordinates of both the preimage and image. Allow students to resubmit coordinates as needed.
