The students will investigate the properties of a parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, square, kite, trapezoid, and isosceles trapezoid by using the measurement tools of the TI-Npsire. The students will record their results on the chart.
The time for the activity will vary based on the ability of the students.
Before the Activity
The students will need to be familiar with the measurement tool in the TI-Npire or will need to be instructed on its use during the first part of the activity.
During the Activity
The students will open a file for each of the quadrilaterals. There are multiple screens for exploring. Not all screens are necessary but it allows the students to make mistakes and start over.
After the Activity
You will want to verify the students have correctly identified the properties.
