Activity Overview
The students will use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR ROTATE3 to discover the relationship between the measures of the areas of a pre-image and image after a rotation about a point.
Before the Activity
- Download the Cabri Jr. APPVAR ROTATE3 to handhelds using TI-Connect software and unit to unit link cables. ROTATE3 may also be sent via TI-Navigator.
- Students should do the worksheet "Selecting and dragging an object using Cabri Jr."
During the Activity
This activity is a lesson launcher for understanding the relationship between the measures of the areas of a pre-image and image after a rotation about a point.
- Distribute the Student Worksheet for G.G. 55 area.
- Students use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR ROTATE3 to answer questions from student worksheet.
After the Activity
