Activity Overview
In "Man Hunt," a pickup truck cuts off a bus filled with convicts, causing it to swerve off the road. The bus crashes and overturns, allowing all of the convicts to escape. When Charlie examines the data from the accident, he uses some kinematic (motion of objects) equations to conclude that the 'accident' was not really an accident.
Students will develop two sets of parametric equations that visually demonstrate how the accident was caused by using actual data from the episode.
