Activity Overview
The teacher will send graphs of functions to the Activity Center from his/her calculator and the students will try to match the teacher's input.
Before the Activity
If you are using the TI-Navigator System with the TI-73 you will need the attached .pdf file.
The teacher has taught the family of functions. The teacher decides which functions he/she will use, and has a list of equations to use in the activity. The teacher gives the student specific directions about the activity.
During the Activity
The teacher will type the equations of functions into his/her calculator.
After the Activity
After the activity, the teacher closes the lesson by directing the students to Exit Apps and graph a particular function in Y= on his calculator. The teacher Screen Captures the students' graphs. For example, the students could be asked to graph the square root function that is 3 units to the right of the origin and down 2 units.
