In this activity, students will explore properties of sectors. Students will derive the formula for the arc length of a sector and the area of a sector.
Students will examine the ratio of arc length to radius for two concentric circles. They will change the angle measure to compare the ratio for the circles.
Students will discover the formula for arc length of a sector as a percent of the circumference. They will also discover the formula for the area of a sector.
