Activity Overview
Students will determine several ways to trisect a square. They will use Cabri Jr. to verify the square has been trisected and then prove their trisection using postulates and theorems from geometry.
Before the Activity
Students should have access to either the TI-83 or TI-84 family of calculators and a copy of the attached .doc file.
During the Activity
Students will determine several ways to trisect a square.
After the Activity
Review student answers:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
