Harmonic Motion - Lesson Guide

Published on 07/18/2011

Activity Overview

In this Science Nspired module, students will explore harmonic motion through simulations, a data-collection lab, formative assessments and summative assessments. This Lesson Guide is a TI-Nspire PublishViewTM document.

About the Lesson

In this module, students will observe and explain periodic patterns  using  mathematical models. Students will explore a simulation of wave behavior to build an understadning of amplitude, frequency, and phase shift.  Students then will experiment with a pendullum and moldel the data gathered dependent on the mass on the pendulum and the length of the pendulum.  They will be assessed throughout each activity to determine their level of understanding.

This Lesson Guide allows you to preview the variety of activities provided for this module, as well as give a suggested flow (lesson plan) of the lesson. The Lesson Guide is a PublishViewTM document (.tnsp).
