Activity Overview
A fun activity to help students learn how to graph a piecewise function and learn how to write a BASIC program. Gives a sense of Accomplishment.
Before the Activity
Read the User's manual!! It is necessary to know how to store equations to Y= variables!
During the Activity
The internet is a great resource for helpful hints and tips.
A copy of the program is attached. The program is also currently available at TIcalc.org.
After the Activity
Compare the student's program with the attached program. Most students will not know the reason for putting a colon (:) at the beginning of a program, be sure to ask them why it is there. If they give a valid reason, then it should be acceptable, however, if they do not, then it is probably my program downloaded from offline.
