NUMB3RS - Season 3 - "Hardball" - The Pythagorean Expectation

Activity Overview

The amount of data generated by the game of baseball provides many opportunities for statistical analysis. One branch of analysis is called sabermetrics.
Students will study the Pythagorean expectation, sabermetric formula used to estimate how many games a team should win based on the number of runs scored and the number of runs allowed.
