Activity Overview
Students learn to represent data in a list as a bar chart. They examine statistics from the 2000 Olympic Games and determine the team that took home the most medals.
Before the Activity
Set up the calculator as explained in the appendix

how to enter data into a list
During the Activity
Distribute the pages to the class.
Follow the Activity procedures:
Examine the given data and create a list with country and each medal type gold, silver, and bronze as the variables
Enter the data into the lists
Highlight each list and select bar graph plot options
Observe the plots of each variable and answer questions based on the graphed data
After the Activity
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
