Using Activity Center, students can move on a picture of a pair of parallel lines cut by a transversal to answer teacher questions related to the picture. The picture is set up so that it is on the screen of the student calculator as well as the classroom display.
Before the Activity
Students should be familiar with the angle names and relationships for parallel lines cut by a transversal.
During the Activity
Teacher will ask questions and student responses will guide the discussion and further instruction.
After the Activity
There is a second picture and activity center file that has a pair of parallel lines with a different orientation.
