Activity Overview
In "The Art of Reckoning", Don suspects that a confession he has received may be a ruse to allow a prison break. Charlie relates this to a spy trying to invade enemy lines. While he can determine the probability that enemy lines are breached, a method called 'pursuit evasion' can be used to determine exactly what resources are necessary to guarantee that enemy lines are impenetrable. In this activity, students will use vertex-edge graphs to study pursuit evasion.
