About the Lesson
Students will observe and explain the relationship between an object changing from PE to KE and back while riding on a roller coaster. They will explore the relationship of mechanical advantage observing pulleys, levers and ramps and the affect each has on the force needed to move an object. They will experiment and compare their gathered data for pullies and levers to the ideal situation they explored in the simulations. Assessment will be throughout the simulations and the laboratory, to determine the students understanding.
