This LearningCheck file is a review of calculating slope. Students are asked to use the calculations to determine if two lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. These questions can be used to check understanding, as class openers, or as an assessment.
Before the Activity
Download the attached LearningCheck file to students' calculators using the TI-Navigator.
During the Activity
Send the students the file ParallelPerpendicular.edc. There are six questions asking for the students to determine the slope of a line and to use the calculations to determine if two lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
After the Activity
After collecting the answer files from the students, review any items that the class struggled on.
