What are the effects of a, h, and k on the reference function, y= abs(x), for y= a*abs(x-h) +k?
Before the Activity
Students should have a general knowledge of the NSpire handheld. They do not need to create all the aspects within NSpire. The main NSpire functions they need are opening a pre-made document, advancing to the next page, grabbing a slider and changing its value, the Tab key, answering questions, and moving the cursor on the graph screen.Teacher should run off handout and download the .tns file to all handhelds using Connect-to-Class.
