Activity Overview
Students will:
1.Construct a triangle and measure one pair of sides and the contained angle
2.Construct a second triangle with corresponding sides equal in length and congruent corresponding angles
3.Try to alter the properties of their construction by moving the vertices
Before the Activity
This activity will help students visualize the construction of congruent triangles and conceptualize properties through measurement and movement of their construction.
During the Activity
Students should have access to TI-84 Plus Family and the attached .pdf files.
After the Activity
Review student results: As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging. Re-teach concepts as necessary.
