Activity Overview
Students will use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to predict a triangle's classification. The Cabri Jr. App on the TI-83+/84+ family will be used to create triangles and find their measurements.
Before the Activity
--Review the Pythagorean Theorem with students.
--Install the Cabri Jr. App on the students' graphing calculators using TI Connect, a TI Connectivity Cable and the Unit-to-Unit Link Cable.
During the Activity
--Distribute the Lab pages to the students.
--Follow the Activity procedures.
After the Activity
Review student answers:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
