Activity Overview
In Problem 1 users of this activity will learn to use a number of the features of a spreadsheet to compute the mean and standard deviation for a general discrete probability distribution.
In Problem 2 users will follow the procedures utilized in Problem 1 to solve the given problem.
In Problem 3 users will discover an alternative method for computing the mean and standard deviation of a binomial distribution.
In Problem 4 users will continue to vary parameters of the binomial distribution.
