This activity builds on students' knowledge of finding factors, writing them in expanded form, and writing factors using exponents.
In this activity, students explore the factorization of numbers. First, students use the Home screen to expand a number into its factors, ensuring at each step that they are on the right path.
Students will then write the prime factorization of a number using exponents. They will be able to check their answer on the calculator.
After practicing writing the factorization using exponents, students extend this form to screen images from the Logic Ladder application. Early finishers can then use the Logic Ladder App to continue this exploration.
