Activity Overview

The students will use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR CORRS and CORRS2 to discover the relationship between the measures of pairs of corresponding angles and the parallelism of lines cut by a transversal.

Before the Activity

  1. Download the Cabri Jr. APPVAR CORRS and CORRS2 to handhelds using TI-Connect software and unit to unit link cables. CORRS and CORRS2 may also be sent via TI-Navigator.
  2. Students should do the worksheet "Selecting and dragging an object using Cabri Jr."

During the Activity

This activity is a lesson launcher for understanding the relationship between pairs of corresponding angles and parallel lines.

  1. Distribute the Student Worksheet for Corresponding angles.
  2. Students use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR CORRS and CORRS2 to answer questions from student worksheet.
