Students use the CBL 2™ with the temperature sensor to collect data and then analyze that data to determine the effect of temperature increases on the rate of dissolving.
Students compare the amount of time it takes a sugar cube to dissolve in different water temperatures. Using a temperature sensor, students will collect the time and temperature of the sugar cube dissolving in water temperature of 5°C, 25° C, and 35° C.
After the calculator creates a scatter plot of the data that was collected, students will analyze the data using a linear regression line.
