Activity Overview
In this activity, students experiment with regression features of the calculator to find a best fit for a data set.
Before the Activity

Print pages 1 - 2 from the attached PDF file for your class
During the Activity
Distribute the pages to the class.
Follow the Activity procedures:
Enter the data in the Data-Matrix editor
Store the data
Plot a graph
Perform a power regression to find a best-fit curve
Compare table of values of the graph with the original points
Repeat the procedure with different regression functions
After the Activity
Students answer the questions on the activity sheet.
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
