Activity Overview
In this activity, students will make concept connections numerically, graphically and analytically concerning the differentiation of a function and its inverse. This TI-Nspire lesson could be used to either introduce inverse function differentiation or as a reinforcement tool. This document supports a student-centered collaborative lab activity.
The teacher could modify the initial function and the corresponding domain values to provide further investigations.

Download and make the TNS file available to students.
Prerequisites:
Content knowledge of the algebraic and geometric properties of the inverse of a function.
Content knowledge of the differentiation of elementary functions from a geometric, numerical and analytical viewpoint.
Calculator background in the use of the differentiation operation.
During the Activity
