Activity Overview
The students will use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR REFLECT1 to discover the relationship between the lengths of the sides of a pre-image and image after reflection through a line. The students will use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR REFLECT1 to understand orientation of points and the relationship between orientation of the points of a pre-image and image after reflection through a line.
Before the Activity
- Download the Cabri Jr. APPVAR REFLECT1to handhelds using TI-Connect software and unit to unit link cables. REFLECT1may also be sent via TI-Navigator.
- Students should do the worksheet "Selecting and dragging an object using Cabri Jr."
During the Activity
This activity is a lesson launcher for understanding the relationship between the lengths of the sides and orientation of points of a pre-image and image after reflection through a line.
- Distribute the Student Worksheet for G.G. 55 distance.
- Students use the Cabri Jr. APPVAR REFLECT1to answer questions from student worksheet.
After the Activity
