Sound - Lesson Guide

Updated on 04/15/2014

Activity Overview

In this Science Nspired module, students will explore sound waves through simulations, a data-collection lab, formative assessments and summative assessments. This Lesson Guide is a TI-Nspire PublishViewTM document.

About the Lesson

Students will observe and explain the relationship between frequency and wave forms shown on a wave plate or a flame tube. They will then explore Frequency further by describing the relationship between what is heard and the wave frequency generated. They will also explore the addition of waves and explain the sounds that will be produced. The students will then experiment with Octaves and Super position using the microphone and tuning forks.

This Lesson Guide allows you to preview the variety of activities provided for this module, as well as give a suggested flow (lesson plan) of the lesson. The Lesson Guide is a PublishViewTM document (.tnsp).
