About the Lesson
Students will observe and explain the relationship between frequency and wave forms shown on a wave plate or a flame tube. They will then explore Frequency further by describing the relationship between what is heard and the wave frequency generated. They will also explore the addition of waves and explain the sounds that will be produced. The students will then experiment with Octaves and Super position using the microphone and tuning forks.
