This activity could be preceded with readings in the area of forensics. Google "body proportions in mathematics" to find a wealth of materials.
You may want to keep on alert for episodes of CSI or Numb3rs or similar shows for relevant clips.
During the Activity
You may want to duplicate or project the page with the equations and diagram of a skeleton.
After the Activity
You could collect classroom data to see if the class is normal.
You could extend the discussion to concepts of slope, intercepts, domain, range, outliers.
