About the Lesson

Students will explore and experiment with the conservation of momentum. Starting with a simulation, students will explore the relationship of velocity and mass and how the product of the two is equivalent. The simulation lesson can be followed with a data gathering activity that allows students to compare the mass of two carts on a track and then comparing their masses and velocities.
