Activity Overview
This activity uses Cabri Jr. to assess the students' knowledge of various segements related to triangles: perpendicular bisector, median, angle bisector, midsegment, and altitude.
Before the Activity
The students should have a good understanding of Cabri Jr. and its' functions in order to complete this assessment. The students will create a file of a generic triangle and reuse it throughout the activity. This will save some time in redrawing a triangle for each problem.
During the Activity
Distribute the attached document to the students. This activity can be completed individually or in pairs. Stress to the students that they will be assessed on the clarity of their steps used on Cabri Jr., the description, and the accompanying sketch.
After the Activity
Collect the students work as a culminating assessment.
