What is your Ratio? Is it Golden?

Activity Overview

Students insert a photo of their face and use the measurement tools to determine the ratio of the length of their face to the width of their face.

Key Steps

  • Image

Use the insert image option to insert a picture of a face on the background of a geometry page. Use the geometry tools to measure the length and width of your face and determine the value of the ratio length to width.

  • Image

Compare your ratio to the Golden Ratio and decide if your face is proportioned exactly as the golden ratio expects or if your face is longer/wider or shorter/narrower than the ratio expects.
