Activity Overview
In this activity, the teacher will pick favorite "famous" people and ask the students to guess their ages. The names and birth dates are attached ("Famous Persons Birth Dates"). Participants use the calculator to enter the information and to view results.
Before the Activity
Look over the handout and familiarize yourself with clearing lists, entering lists, and creating scatter plots.
During the Activity
Have each student enter their age guesses in a list as you go through the activity.
After the Activity
Review student answers:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
