Activity Overview
In these activities, students will explore basic transformations using a set of ordered pairs.
The ordered pairs are entered as Lists and the figure, a Fish, undergoes transformations using operations on the lists. The activity can include translations, reflections, and dilations.
Before the Activity
Print the two activity PDF files for your class.
The program can be used to graph the Fish if you prefer to go straight to the transformations and not have students identify points, enter data, and set up scatter plots. Use TI Connect to send the program to your student calculators.
During the Activity
Distribute the activity sheets to your students.
