Students use matrices to represent data in an application involving beach house rentals.
Students will use a 4-by-3 matrix to represent the rates charged for beach condo rentals in one year. Next, students will use a 3-by-4 matrix to represent the number of nights the condo is rented for that year.
Using matrix multiplication, students will combine the two matrices to discover how much money was earned from rentals for each season of the year.
