Unit 3 includes Vectors, complex numbers, functions and graph sketching. Vectors include three dimensional vectors, vector equations and calculus.  Cartesian and vector equations, together with equations of planes, enables students to solve geometric problems including motion in three-dimensional space. Complex numbers include polar form, functions and graph sketching extends from Unit 1 and 2 and includes problems involving integration.

Unit 4 includes integration and applications of integration, rates of change, differential equations and statistical inference. Differentiation and integration of functions continues and extends to include simple differential equations. Statistical inference for the distribution of sample means and confidence intervals draws together the collective experience from probability and statistics.
