Unit 3 continues the study of differential and integral calculus of functions including exponential and trigonometric functions. Discrete random variables are introduced, together with their uses in modeling random processes involving chance and variation.

Unit 4 continues the study of differential and integral calculus of functions including the derivative of logarithmic functions. Continuous random variables are introduced and their applications examined. Probabilities associated with continuous distributions are calculated using definite integrals. Statistical inference covers estimating proportions in two-outcome populations.
