Properties of Logs

Students will state and apply the properties of logarithms:

  • loga(m*n) = loga(m) + loga(n)
  • loga(m/n) = loga(m) - loga(n)
  • loga(mn) = n*loga(m)

  • Logarithmic expressions
  • Equivalent expressions
  • Exponential properties

About the Lesson

Students will be using Lists and Spreadsheets/Data and Statistics pages on the
TI-Nspire™ CX II to make comparisons between the properties of exponents and the properties of logarithms.
