To show how to set up the graph of a function follow these steps. Here, the mode is set to FUNCTION and the default settings are assumed.

Enter an equation in the Y= editor.

1. Select the Function Editor icon

2. Press c.

3. Press | l ² + 6.

To set the line color in the Y= editor:

1. Press the left arrow key ‹ to highlight the color and line style indicator.

2. Press =.

The spinner dialog displays.

3. Press the right arrow key › › › to select MAGENTA.

4. Press the down arrow key ≥.

Note: The thick line style is the default. It can be changed by pressing the left arrow key ‹ or the right arrow key ›.

5. Press the down arrow key ≥ to highlight OK and then press = to save changes.
