A fish tank has a population of 6 fish. The data below show how the population grows over time.

  1. Make a scatter plot of the data.
  2. Find the equation of a logistic function that best fits the data.
  3. Graph the logistic equation from Question 2 together with the scatter plot from Question 1.
  4. Calculate the differences in y for the following table:
  5. Make a scatter plot of the data from Question 4 and a scatter plot of the differences. Use boxes to mark the original data and plus signs to mark the differences.
  6. Visually locate the root (or zero) of the difference curve and describe how it is related to the graph of the original data.
