 Introduction

In this module you will use the TI-89 to discover rules for finding antiderivatives using indefinite integrals. You will also use the TI-89 to find analytic and visual solutions to differential equations.

Lesson Index:

18.1 - Antiderivatives as Indefinite Integrals

18.2 - A Script For Discovering an Indefinite Integral Rule

18.3 - Solving Differential Equations Analytically

18.4 - Solving Differential Equations Graphically and Numerically

After completing this module, you should be able to do the following:

  • Use the TI-89 to discover rules for finding antiderivatives
  • Illustrate the family of curves that corresponds to an indefinite integral
  • Use the deSolve command to find general solutions to differential equations
  • Find particular solutions to differential equations with the deSolve command
  • Use the Differential Equation graphing mode of the TI-89 to create slope fields
  • Find particular solutions to differential equations with the TI-89 Differential Equation graphing mode
  • Create a table for values for the solution of a differential equation
