To store a regression model into y=, follow the steps below.

Data for this example:
L1: 3, 5, 8, 10, 15
L2: 7, 8, 12, 14, 17

Store the regression model:

1. Press m to enter the statistics menu.
2. Press the right arrow key › to reach the CALC menu.
3. Select option 4: LinReg(ax+b) or option 8: LinReg(a+bx).
4. Ensure XLIST is set at L1, YLIST is set at L2, and Store RegEQ is set at Y2.
5. Press b Ž and select Y2.
6. Select the softkeys for CALCULATE by pressing d or f.
   Note: The regression equation is stored in the chosen Y= function (for example, Y2) after the regression calculation is performed.
   Note: For version 7.1 or greater, the correlation coefficient (r ), the coefficient of determination ( r^2), and the standard deviation about the least squares line ( s ) will be displayed if the diagnostics are on.
