TI-Nspire™ TI-Navigator™

Features Summary
The TI-Nspire™ Navigator™ System benefits both teachers and learners
The TI-Nspire Navigator System is a wireless classroom network that supports teaching and learning activities with TI-Nspire handhelds, further enhancing their effectiveness in maths and science secondary education. This connected classroom experience was developed following research into beneficial types of interactions between teachers and learners, enabling teachers to demonstrate activities, share documents and constructions immediately with the whole class, which supports individual and small group work. This completely new system, which is currently being used by pilot schools in England and Scotland, supports collaboration, independent learning and assessment of learners’ progress.

Using the TI-Nspire Navigator System, the teacher is able to follow the progress of all learners: individual’s work can be shared with the whole class with or without naming them. Teachers have the opportunity to develop lessons, activities and questions in ways that are enriched by the use of ICT. With revised National Curricula asking teachers to focus on process as well as content, TI-Nspire Navigator adds new teaching options to the already powerful dynamic linking of the TI-Nspire handheld and its document structure.

TI is committed to providing excellent support and professional development in supporting the set-up and implementation of the TI-Nspire Navigator System in your school. If you would like a demonstration of the system or would like to arrange professional development from T3, contact us at t3@ti.com. The system will be available to purchase in Spring/Summer 2009.
