Connie Schrock

President Elect, National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM)


Dr. Connie Schrock, professor of mathematics and economics at Emporia State University, serves as president elect for NCSM, whose mission as a mathematics leadership organization is to provide professional learning opportunities to support improved achievement for all students. One of the authors of NCSM’s “Great Tasks for Mathematics” for both K-5 and 6-12, she has been the principal investigator for multiple National Science Foundation and Mathematics and Science Partnership projects.

During her career in education, she’s taught middle and high school mathematics, having also served as district computer coordinator. Schrock currently teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate classes, including the Middle and Secondary Mathematics Methods course. Each semester, she’s in the classroom supervising mathematics student teachers and working with classroom teachers as well.
